Door fits great!

Pros: big battery time, door fits snugly, rubbery back is ok
Cons: big size, 8830 doesnt lie flat on a table now

I hardly ever write reviews but I feel compelled to since I waited months stewing over buying the 2600 8830 battery because of the reports of the extended door not staying attached. At least for the 2600 I just bought, the extended door fits very tightly, no need for tape to hold it on. There are 4 plastic fingers on the extended door just like the normal door but the extended lacks a metal finger on the square extension of the door. Even with 4 fingers instead of 5, my extended door fits real tight, so much so I have to take care aligning it and snapping it on. Ive only used it a few days to get it charged but it was mostly on power the whole time. Ill use it for business trips mostly. Im not married to the holster so the extended not fitting in it is no biggee. Also, I dont mind the extended door not being smooth since its not super tacky just slightly and the rest of the phone is still smooth. The main minus I noticed is it wont lie flat with the extended but for travel this isnt important. Overall, Im very happy with it!

I love the battery life but door is terrible falls off had to tape it on. When using GPS battery holds up well also great for talk time.

Battery superb, door lacking (BB8830)

The battery life is exceptional and far exceeds expectations. However, the door is a joke. The little plastic tab that extends above the main part of the door is smooth where the original door has a metal tab that keeps it in place. The result is that the door continually slips of, especially when removing it from a pouch. Seidio is sending me another door, but I hope it isnt the same as the one I first received.

I like the battery, and still use it. I have had to tape the door down, which is very cheap. I wish there was a better door available. If I had known the door was not going to fit properly, highly likely I would not have bought it, and would have bought a 2nd battery with an external charger.

The "fat" battery doesnt fit int the holster, so I have to keep it out of the holster, I have put the rubber cover and a clear cover onf the screen to avoid it scratching, but I wish I could have it in the Holster.
It would be easy to live without the holster, if the door stayed on. If they can fix the door problem this would be a 5 star product.

Extremely Poor Fit for Cover

Although the battery itself works well for dramatically extending the travel time of my Blackberry (as long as the added weight and thickness dont bother you), there are two serious problems with this product. First of all, the cheap, plastic battery cover does not stay in place, and regularly comes off - throwing the battery out in the process. Secondly, the case for the Blackberry no longer accommodates the thicker phone, so I had to try a stick-on belt clip to carry the phone .. which doesnt work well.
