Crackberry had the parts for my phone that Verizon said they could not supply. Verizons fix was to buy out my contract and get a new phone. Easy economical fix, just had to pop in the trackball. Also picked up a great case and holster that Verizon didnt have in stock.

My trackball had stopped moving upwards - VERY INCONVENIENT - so I searched Crackberry and found that a replacement trackball was only 10 bucks. I ordered it, received it a few days later and was able to remove the old one and install the new one in a matter of seconds. With a new trackball, I feel like I have a brand new phone.

Unlike the larger Blackberrys, I could only navigate my Pearl by using the trackball, so, when it stopped working to the left, I was very frustrated. I ordered a new one, popped it in, and it worked like a charm again!

Pros:  simple & easy to replace
Cons:  have to replace too often...have replaced four time sso far and havent had phone a full year yet.

Trackballs on Blackberry Curve is poorly made and comes loose and falls out OFTEN. I love Crackberry and love the simplistic methods of using your site and how quick and easy I can get my Blackberry up and functioning again. Thanks Crackberry!

I was very pleased with the trackball replacement. It was in excellent condition, and works great. My trackball stopped working. Thought that I would have to get rid of my blackberry. I had to use my old phone in the meantime. Did not like it, at all. With the replacement part it saved me time and money of buying a new phone. Very expensive. I love my blackberry 8320. Will have to eventually upgrade to another blackberry.

Couldnt scroll up or down any longer. It was driving me absolutely crazy. Original trackball lasted almost 4 years with daily business/personal use. So, I cant complain too much. Anyway checked some other sites and Crackberry.com absolutely is the best choice for trackball replacement. Order arrived promptly and before estimated delivery date. My Pearl works like new now. I bought a “well used” blackberry as a replacement for my lost cell. On my BB, the scroll ball was orange, worn smooth, and the right scroll worked but was inconsistent (ie frustrating). Also, the silver “apron” that surrounded the track ball was only about 50 silver as the coating wore off from heavy use. I stumbled upon the replacement here at crackberry and ordered immediately. Time from package arrival to complete install in my phone was approximately 3 minutes including cleaning out the cavity with a q-tip. This made an enormous difference. Thanks!

This is one of those "I didnt know how bad it was until I fixed it" things. With age, the trackball slowly got worse and worse and I just adjusted to it. Finally, after removing the trackball and blowing the dust out, I saw that improvement was at least possible. So, I ordered the replacement.

Ive spent lots on apps, cases, skins, etc., for my BlackBerry. This is without question the best $10 Ive ever spent on it!

As everyone knows the trackball wears out fairly quickly. My trackball went out on my 8330 after only 3 months of use. After replacing it I feel as if I have a new Blackberry. For installation just do a search on YouTube and it really only takes 2 minutes to install. VERY recommended.

Yes got the trackball in just a couple days , all i had to do was use a small tool to work the chrome clip ring off , turn phone over to remove old trackball and set new trackball in, then replace little chrome snap ring to hole trackball in place. (i did a friends my blackberry still new doesnt need one yet)

After my scroll ball fell out and disappeared, I gave in and ordered another on online. Crackberry was AWESOME. I ordered on a Sunday night, and it was shipped out that Monday morning, and got to me Thursday morning. I couldnt have asked for more! Super fast! It fit like a glove and is securely in place. I didnt have to watch an installation vid because my old one loved falling out all the time. Its easy. The scroll ball is brand new and works in every direction. I should have done this a long time ago. I will not hesitate to order from Crackberry again!

I ordered the trackball replacement for two reasons. The first was that my trackball had turned brown from using it so much, and the second was that the ring around the track ball kept falling off because two of the three hook sets were missing a hook. However, when I installed the new trackball, I couldnt get the new ring to go in all the way, so I left the old one on. On the bright side, the old one hasnt fallen off since.

My phone is under warranty and after contacting the phone carrier I was told I would either have to send the phone off and not have a phone for how ever long it takes to get it back or pay over $100.00 to get it fixed in the store. Insanity!!!! I bought this and watched a video (not the one linked above) and it was the easiest thing to do and at a fraction of the cost. Phone works great now! I hope it lasts!

After reading how easy it is to pop the ball out, I poped mine out, cleaned it and the contacts inside the unit with an alcohol wipe out of our first aid box, and it now works fine! I thought of this because I have a Trackman mouse and it will malfunction if the sensors get dirty from just normal use.

awesome replacement of the trackball... installed in my 8125 and works awesome. swapping is easy. i dont blame them for not including instructions as this may void warranty and they can be held accountable. only "con" is crackberry didnt include the suite number to my place so i had to pick it up from the UPS hub... no biggie though.. shipping was fast.

Ive had my 8310 for four years and replaced the trackball twice both with this replacement.

first one lasted about 6 months then somehow the holder fell out and I lost the trackball.

i got this one this last week. again trackball works like oem but ring was a pain to install on again.
three of the six clips snapped.
i am not a new person when it comes to these things so im surprised its not as easy as advertised to fully install.
if i could get the ring without it breaking it would be a 5/5 but its a pretty important part. (youll probably see me getting more soon)
other wise shipping was great delivered as promised 2 day air.

I changed my trackball out with the one here (it comes with chrome Snap ring) .It did work ok but notice sum lag and didnt scroll as ez , also had one off amazon(black thackball) the one off amazon worked much beter for me over the one here it came with a chrome ring to but I got a red chrome ring ordered to use instead to tweak it up more.

I just ordered 10 replacement trackballs, and found that two or three looked like they were brand new, but five or six looked heavily used. The used ones definitely have darker colored balls and dirt.
