StarStarStarStarStar Works as advertised
User: Chris Murphy, Jul 18, 2009
Works exactly as advertised. I couldnt find any adapter that worked with my 8830 at either Radioshack or Best Buy. Plugged this into my BB and connected via a 3.5mm cable running to an AUX port in my car and instant music/calls/etc through my car stereo.
StarStarStarStarStar For the 8820, this adapters the real deal!

Pros:  Stereo sound, curved male end.
Cons:  None.

I love my 8820, but never was fond of the 2.5 mm sized headphone jack, which meant I couldnt use standard 3.5 mm earphones with it. (I also never liked stereo bluetooth headsets.) I ordered this one from ShopCrackberry, (with some trepidation since it only has a 3 star rating), and I am very pleased! The sound is clear, loud, and in stereo, even when using cheapo $15 ear phones. Since the end that plugs into the Blackberrys jack is curved, (rather than sticking out straight), it helps for putting it in your pocket or carrying it while listening to MP3s.

Before this adapter, I had purchased other 2.5 to 3.5 adapters from eBay, and Radio Shack, and those didnt work apparently the 8820 uses a special version of the 2.5 mm adapter (this one). Maybe negative or mixed reviews confused those others for this one? Anyway, make sure not to waste your money on those and purchase this one instead.
