Fits Like a Glove

I owned one of these for about 6 years. I use it exclusively for my phone. It started to become a little loose as the elastic side bands had been stretched over the years of use.

This case is very durable and the phone fits perfectly inside. The swivel belt clip is nice and keeps the holster secure.

Cons: Similar plastic clip to the one on the plastic holster that Ive broken numerous times

This is a good looking comfortable case for my BB 8350i. Ive gone thru about 4 of the plastic holsters that come with the phone. Normally the phone will get caught getting into my car and brake the clip off. So far so good with this one. Also, I dont think this case will have the potential of the phone falling out as I had with the plastic holster. Best of all they are the same price.

I hope I dont jinx myself by finally submitting a review but I love this case. Ive been using it for over six months now and havent had any trouble at all. The leather is soft but not too soft! I have the pink case and it is a great shade of pink, vivid and not washed out. The case has never fallen off and I have had no problems with the clip. If it does eventually break, I wouldnt hesitate to buy this case again. The only thing that would make this case 200 perfect is if there were enough room for my ID and a couple of bill$

I just bought the BB holster for my 8330 and I love it. Its a snug compact fit that protects my Curve well and adds minimal extra bulk to the unit. It also fits tightly against my waist which is a major plus. In this holster the Curve feels the same or smaller than all the previous clamshell phones Ive owned, and not much bigger than my Pearl. As mentioned in the review the belt clasp is really strong and I doubt very much that it will break in normal use. Lastly it looks sharp (if you dont mind advertising for BB) and of quality construction. I highly recommend this holster.

I really like this case for my blackberry 8310. I find it very useful and incredibly convenient. However, it did break last night when a small amount of force got applied to the clip. Ok so my fiancee had heels on and the ground was wet, so she didnt want to sink in the mud with her heels so I gave her piggy-back-ride across the mud and as she got on my back the clip snapped. Long and short...Im buying another one.

Belt Clip to defective. Why cant somebody make a case like this, and have a loop to go through your belt and still swivel. You would sell a bunch for sure. lets get started.

Great case that fits my 8330 well. Durable enough not to worry about it catching on chairs, walls, etc if its on your hip. Only thing I had go wrong was the Blackberry logo fell off the cover in about 2 weeks.

I love this case. I was surprised at how nice the leather was straight out of the box and for the price. My only gripe about the case is that it does not accomodate 2 1/2" belts. So if you are a Police Officer it will not stay on your belt if it is knocked around to much. With that said I have not had the phone fall off my belt once.

Bought a bunch of these and one guy came back and complained that the magnetic closure wasnt that good because the fit on the Curve was too tight. It may improve w/ age.

The width is way too tight. Literally I have to pull this thing out and the rubberized sides grab onto the elastic. Im putting a larger foam block in the attempt to try to stretch it out, but as for now, Im not a happy camper.

I love the look, feel and protectiveness of this holster. As usual the strength of the product is only as good as its weakest link and the weakest link is the plastic clip. The part of the moving clip which attaches to the main plastic clip body, has a pin through it to attach the two piecs together and allow the moving part to open and close. The two ears, where the pin fits through is very thin and it takes only a minor snag to break the ears off, rendering the entire clip unuseable. Such a shame because I love everything else about it. But at about $20 per pouch and a life of only a month or two I cant afford to purchase 6 or 8 of these a year.

Clip breaks too easily. Im on my third case and the only reason I keep buying them is that they work so well. Also, the flap that keeps the phone in frays rather easily as well.

Case is very nice and professional looking. The clip however is very poorly made. mine lasted less than 24 hours before it broke. Will not be buying another anytime soon. I would expect more quality from buying the original case but I guess its not that way with these.

The holster and magnetic flap are nice. As others have noted, the logo comes off (no big deal) and the clip breaks off very easily...at which point it is mostly useless.

I had this one for about 2 days when the clip broke. Overall the case is very nicely built, soft leather, nice stitching and the sleeper magnet is very nice.

BUT, as many others have stated, the clip breaks extremely easily. Rather disappointing really.

Our company received Blackberries (8830s) less than a month (late April 2008) ago, of the 12 holsters received, 3 people have broken the clip off already. One person just broke his 3rd clip.

Nice idea but falls apart

This just isnt built very well where it needs to be. Two small rivets hold the clip to the leather and they rip out of the leather. Other than that it is a good design. Not worth the money and lack of time. I had mine for two weeks and it was all over.

Manage 47 Blackberry 8310 at work, after 13 months 21 of them needed to be replaced (broken Clip). 4 had the metal emblem fall off.

Blackberry goes in and out very well. Over all a nice looking case that is comfortable to use. Build quality is poor on the clip part.

This case does....NOT....fit the 8350i. AT ALL. I guess im the first one, or should i say the guinea pig, that bought this case for that phone. I had a feeling the 8350i was too new for crackberry to really have known if this case would fit it being that it is a little thicker and taller than the other curve models. This is false advertisement, if you own an 8350i, dont be fooled, this case will not fit. Im highly disappointed w/ crackberry.

It lasted three weeks and then the clip broke off. My previous OEM Palm case lasted over two years longer than the phone. I found a deal on Otterbox and Im waiting by the door for UPS.

I grabbed one of these the day I bought my 8330. It was very convenient and looked professional. The clip on the back rides kind of high, and the top of the clip bends towards my body at an extreme angle. I found that if I wore an untucked shirt, then the clip would seriously dig into my side. With a tucked dress shirt, this didnt seem to be an issue.

I had this case for 2 weeks, and the clip caught on my seatbelt when entering my car. Ripped it right off. Returned it and got a new one. This one last 6 weeks until I was getting out of my car. Clip snagged on something and popped right off. At this pace, I was going to be spending $30 a month just on holsters.

I have given up and ordered the Seidio. Would never recommend and will not buy again!

Bad Engineering

I am compelled to use a blackberry for work and have it with me at all times. That said, the only holster that securly holds the phone and properly activates the auto off feature (avoiding speed dial accidents) is the RIM holder. The leather work is excellent, the mechanical design is embarrassing. With only a little more thought towards use-ability the clip might just survive the case under normal conditions.
Unfortunatly RIM informed me that since I purchased my case from an authorized ATT reseller (Cellular World)instead of online from RIM, I am out of luck as far as replacement goes. The holster is less than two weeks old. CW refuses to replace it as is clearly stated that "no replacements or refunds for accessories" in the fine print.
I would give this product a zero both for performance and service but that rating is not provided

gone through 5 of these things, 2 lost to the seatbelt, one broke at a carnnival, one broke pulling it out of the package, and another just broke doing nothing. i hate these things and if i didnt have access to them for free i would never use them

I work for a large medical group in Washington State. We have used only these case types since we started using the Blackberry devices. I get a request for a replacement at least twice a week because the clips have broken. They need to make a better more durable model.

I agree with many of the other comments. Leather and style of the case is very nice but I feel I wasted money if I cannot carry my blackberry on my hip. With almost no pressure I stood up and realized my holster was falling off my hip. When I grabbed it I saw the clip had fallen apart. I ordered my clip on 7/8 and writing this on 7/29. Considering time for delivery and the fact that it broke yesterday I may have gotten two weeks use. I suggest a metal, horizontal slip on clip. No swivel. I use this type of clip for my Treo. Little more expensive but theres no bulky clip to break with this one.

The Blackberry Holster is great in design and usability but the swivel last a week or teo then breaks. I have been through 2 in as many months. They do not honor the one year warranty that is clearly stated on the back of the package. Purchase with caution.

I have to give bberry credit.

The belt clip on the blackberry leather holster for the 8330 is ridiculously weak...in one small location. The first holster I received was broken - the clip is held on by a pin, and the plastic part of the clip where the pin is inserted was snapped off. For a durable holster, the location where the holes are drilled on the clip seem to enable them to easily break off around the pin.

BBerry did a fantastic job of sending out a replacement holster before I even had to return the first one. For that, I give them a huge thumbs-up in customer service. The problem was that the replacement holder lasted a total of 12 minutes...and broke in the EXACT same location on the clip (e.g. right side hole of the clip broke off under the pin head)

I did not do anything out of the ordinary with the holster, just put it on to a skinny belt...and snap. Ill be sending this one back too, and appreciate bberrys support.

Overall, the holster seems very durable. Its just the way theyve drilled the holes on the clip. It seems like a small adjustment could be made to the manufacturing of the clip and all would be well. I love my 8330, but blackberrys quality on this one part of the holster is dismal.

One note to bberry - I wouldnt recommend shipping this holster in a manila envelope. I believe it was abused in the shipping process, and with the manila envelope offering little to no protection, that may have contributed to and/or accelerated the breakage problem.

defective clip

This pouch fits well and is convenient, but my son and I purchased two leather Curve BlackBerry Pouches each, the swivel
belt on one of his and two of mine already popped right off. I am glad that I didnt lose the Blackberry, but Im pretty sure that these clips are defective.

Poor design - VERY weak belt clip

Nice looking case, but after two weeks of carrying it with low to moderate use the clip broke. It looks like it has just a small shaft of brittle plastic that the clip rotates on, most cases/holster use a metal rivet in this area.

Another issue is that the magnetic clasp opened twice allowing the phone to fall out both times. This resulted in some significant cosmetic damage to the phone and display when it struck a sidewalk. The other time it fortunately fell out onto carpet. In fact, I ended up purchasing insurance on the phone because of this case.

I cant recommend this case to anyone. Its a very poor design. After reading other reviews Im not going to bother getting a new one of these.

Dont buy this holster! The Clip Breaks.

This is my second review (see May 27, 2008). I have now had four (4) of these holsters on three of them the clip has broken off. With this fourth holster, I was out running on a paved running path with the phone in the holster clipped to my waistband. The clip broke and the phone fell to the ground off to the side of the path in some soft dirt, but I didnt hear anything or notice until I got back home to discover the empty clip. Fortunately, there was a big event going on at the county park where I was running, so someone found the phone, turned it in, and I got it back.

I will NEVER purchase this holster again.

Clip Breaks off Too Easily

Im on my fourth case. One case wouldnt put the phone in Sleep mode however, all of the others did this OK.

The major problem is that though the clip seems pretty sturdy, the weak point is that it is held on to the case by a slender plastic pin, and I have cleaved the clip off of two cases by stepping out of or into the car and catching it on the door frame. Once I didnt realize the phone was gone until I came back out to the car parked in my driveway to find the phone in its case on the ground.

I wear my phone everywhere--who doesnt--and Im quite active: I take it running, I wear it when Im working around the house or taking the truck to the dump. I will wear this latest one until the clip breaks off again--and it will. And then I will look for a different case.

Blackberry could keep me as a customer if they used a metal pin or grommet to hold this clip in place.

Very nice leather, soft, nice sleep function with the built in magnet. Unfortunately the clip broke in no less than 10 days. I am looking for an alternative case- I cant be wasting my money on a case with a poorly designed clip.

Five people got these with their new company blackberrys in December and only one of these holsters survives today only 4 months later. All of the others have had the clip break off from seemingly minor snags.

Ive gone through 3 of these in 6 months. Tried keeping the unit horizontal, but doesnt help. 3 times it broke while entering my car. Another minor problem is that the silver logo on the front falls off.
