This Charging Pod is the smartest purchase I have made for my Blackberry to date. It sits nicely on my bedroom dresser and at night I simply place my Bold 9700 in it and I have a full charge in the morning. I have my phone set to enter Bedside Mode when charging so as soon as I place my phone in the pod it immediately goes into the clock display. This is nice for when I wake in the middle of the night and want to know what time it is. The light on the pod is soft and is completely covered by the phone so it is not an issue. It is helpful when docking the phone in the dark. I like this so much I bought one form my wife and she agrees with me that this was a very smart purchase.

This is a RIM original equipment charging pod. Works verry well with my BB 9700. Clock stays on while charging. Very fast full charge.
Sleek, quick, and works without any issues.
I highly recommend this charger for all BB 9700 owners.
I use it as a bedside stand and keep the clock visable while using the alarm in the AM for reliable results. The best charging pod I have bought with any of the BB I have owned. Delivery was super fast.

I had been thinking about buying one of these for a while because I use my BlackBerry as an alarm clock next to my bed and I hated having to reach for it to see the time. This is great because it keeps my phone upright and visible all night. The light on it makes it easy to find in the dark when you are trying to plug your device in. Also the wear and tear aspect, but I think more-so it reduces the wear on the cable. I have gone through several chargers that wore out in the cable and not the connector but this eliminates the possibility of both happening. I wish it was cheaper though.
