Battery Replacement

Pros: Its the same Battery that came with the phone
Cons: Batteries start to Fail in 2-3 years

I needed a new battery since my old battery was shot and cannot hold a charge. This is a exact battery I needed for my Pearl Flip 8220. I was planning on upgrading later. This battery will allow me to hold off in upgrading and use my phone. Since its a new battery the charge holds for a whole day with 30 depending on the usage this can vary.

The problem is this opinion is based on one week of usage. So far its okay but need more usage data to give a more accurate opinion.

Not long lasting

This battery is either defective or refurbished (if thats possible). Needs to be recharged every 24 hours. When phone was first purchased, it lasted a good 3 days. I guess Ill have to deal with it until T-Mobile gets the IPhone (fingers crossed).

Cons: You need to charge it every 24 hours.

This is the second time this year Ive had to swap batteries for this phone. They work great for a few months and then require charging every 24 hours or it will shut the phone down completely. It had to be the travel charger.The car charger wont bring it back up once the battery is down. First time I thought the phone was defective and returned it to the dealer who explained that they have a lot of problems with these particular batteries.
Oh well...we need it and they have it. What you gonna do?

Security Chip Didnt Recognize my Pearl

Cons: Didnt Work!

After charging my new battery, I put it into my 8130 Pearl and it showed that the battery had locked out my phone. The chip that is in the battery to ensure the correct battery is used with the correct phone was faulty! What a pain for $20!
